How much does it cost to play?
The cost is $500.00 / team. The entry fee can be fundraised.
Who can play?
Men’s and Women’s Division must be 19 years or older.
NEW– Youth Division for ages 7 to 18 and The High School Challenge.
How many players on a team?
There is a team minimum of 4 players up to a maximum of 10 players.
Must I register on a team, or can I register as an individual?
You must register a team; the tournament is not structured for individuals.
What is the definition of 3-on-3?
3-on-3 refers to three players out and one goal tender.
How many games are we guaranteed to play?
Every team is guaranteed a minimum of four games.
Who makes the Playoffs?
Playoff format yet to finalized ~ details to be released in near future.
How do Playoffs work?
Playoff rules will be the same as for preliminary games; with the exception of settling ties. Tie games will be resolved with sudden death shootouts, whereby one shot is given to a player in turn on each team until the tie is broken and a winner is declared.
What are the conferences/divisions?
Open Recreation has two divisions:
- Men’s Open
- Women’s Open
Competitive has three divisions:
- Men over 35
- Men 35 and under
- Women’s – Open
The High School Challenge – open to high school teams
Youth has four divisions (co-ed teams welcome):
- 7 – 9 years
- 10 – 12 years
- 13 – 15 years
- 16 – 18 years
How large are the street rinks?
Surfaces will be approximately 56′ x 88′.
What kinds of nets are used?
Standard size hockey nets will be used.
