World 3 on 3 Street Hockey Championship Announces Tim Hortons as Title Sponsor
Saint John, NB – MindCare New Brunswick is thrilled to announce that Tim Hortons has signed on as the title sponsor for the next three years of the World 3 on 3 Street Hockey Championship. Following on the heels of two very successful events, the annual tournament is scheduled to take place over the weekend of April 30, May 1 and 2, 2010. This event is about physical and mental wellness and raising funds for mental health programs and services within New Brunswick.
“Tim Hortons is such a terrific community leader and their support of this event is so critical to achieving MindCare’s mission of funding hope and understand for mental health,” said John McAloney, Event Chair. “We are so excited about their decision to elevate their commitment for 2010 and join us as title sponsor.”
The event will now be known as the Tim Hortons World 3 on 3 Street Hockey Championships and will focus on supporting programs for youth and adolescents.
“We are passionate about our giving back to the communities we serve,” said Gary Springer, local Tim Hortons owner, “and we are passionate about hockey. This event aligns perfectly with the importance we place as a company on helping children.”
This year, the tournament will introduce a Youth Division, along with the very popular men’s and women’s divisions. Working with both the Saint John Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the event will be attracting youth between the ages of seven and 18 to take part in this exciting competition. There will be four categories within this division: ages 7-9, 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18.
